Indian Navy had started the application process for Agniveer Apprentice Recruitment 2026 from 10 am on June 05, 2026. This recruitment is being done for 01/2027 and 02/2027 batches. Through this recruitment, the selected candidates will get a chance to work in the Navy along with technical training. Let us tell you that the last date to apply for this recruitment has been fixed as 29 June 2026. That means no application will be accepted after this.
Who can apply for this recruitment?
Those people who have passed 10th class and have completed 3 years diploma course in engineering or electrical trade can apply for this recruitment. Also, it is necessary for the candidate to have at least 50% marks in 10th and at least 50% marks in Diploma, and apart from this, it is also necessary that the candidate has done Diploma from an AICTE approved polytechnic institute.

Information related to age limit, salary and insurance
If we talk about age limit, then different rules have been kept for both the batches. For Batch 01/2027, candidates should be born between 1 December 2004 to 31 May 2009. Whereas for batch 02/2027, the date of birth has been fixed between 1 May 2005 to 31 October 2009. Also, if we talk about salary, Agniveer will get a monthly salary of Rs 30,000 from the first year itself, in which there will be a fixed increase every year. Apart from this, security during service is also complete, as a life insurance cover of Rs 48 lakh is given for the entire tenure, and in case of death during service, a lump sum assistance amount of Rs 44 lakh is also given.
Complete method of online application and selection process
Now let’s talk about the application process, which is completely online. Candidates have to first register by visiting the official website joinindiannavy.gov.in, then login and fill the application form under AVR (Apprentice) INET 2/26. Then for the application, Rs 550 along with 18% GST fee will have to be deposited through online medium, and only after depositing this fee the admit card will be issued. The selection process first includes INET exam, then physical fitness test, followed by written exam and medical examination. The candidates who pass all these stages will be called for training at the training center located in Odisha.
