These 18 districts declared sensitive before the UP Board exams, important decisions will also be taken on the exams of 20, 23, 26 February.

The high school and intermediate examinations of Uttar Pradesh Board of Secondary Education will be held between 18 February and 12 March. With the claim of conducting cheating-free, fair and transparent examinations, Uttar Pradesh Secondary Education Council has announced to implement strict monitoring system. According to the board, utmost vigilance will be exercised especially in the four days of the examination period.

In the information issued by UP Board Secretary Bhagwati Singh, it has been said that 18 districts of the state have been declared sensitive and examinations on many dates and subjects will be conducted at high and very high alert level.

There will be very high vigilance and special monitoring during the examinations of High School Social Science and Intermediate Civics in the first shift on February 20, High School English in the first shift on February 23, High School Science in the first shift on February 25, High School Mathematics and Intermediate Geography in the first shift on February 26 and related subjects in the second shift on February 27.

Additional flying squads will be deployed at the examination centers in sensitive districts, there will be CCTV surveillance at all the centers and accountability of the center administrators will be fixed. The local administration has also been instructed to play an active role and strict action will be taken against the copying mafia and those spreading chaos. The districts declared sensitive include Agra, Mathura, Aligarh, Hathras, Etah, Kasganj, Prayagraj, Kaushambi, Pratapgarh, Hardoi, Kannauj, Azamgarh, Ballia, Mau, Jaunpur, Ghazipur, Deoria and Gonda, where strict administrative arrangements are being made considering some topics and dates as more sensitive.

A total of 52 lakh 30 thousand 297 candidates are registered in the 2026 examination of UP Board, which includes 27 lakh 50 thousand 945 high school candidates and 24 lakh 79 thousand 352 intermediate candidates.
