Income Tax Department, Gujarat has released the official notification for recruitment to the posts of Multi Tasking Staff and Tax Assistant under Sports Quota. Through this recruitment process, qualified candidates will be appointed to a total of 46 posts.
This recruitment has been done especially for those candidates who have demonstrated their talent in sports at the state, national or international level and now want to get a government job. Interested and eligible candidates can apply online through the official website of Income Tax Department Gujarat. Before applying, candidates are advised to read the entire notification carefully. The application process for this recruitment has started from 31 January 2026, while the last date to apply has been fixed as 21 February 2026.
On which posts will there be recruitment?
Under this recruitment drive, appointments will be made to two major posts by the Income Tax Department, Gujarat. Which includes tax assistant and multi tasking staff. Both these posts will be filled completely under sports quota. That is, only those candidates who have a record of better performance in sports will get the benefit of this recruitment. In the selection process, the department will give special importance to the educational qualifications of the candidates as well as their sports achievements, so that qualified players can get an opportunity to get a government job.
What qualification is required?
There are two posts included in this recruitment, which include Tax Assistant and Multi Tasking Staff. This recruitment has been done especially for sports persons. For the post of Tax Assistant, the candidate must have passed graduation from a recognized university. Along with this, the data entry speed of the candidate should be at least 8000 key depressions per hour. For the post of Multi Tasking Staff (MTS), the candidate must have passed 10th from a recognized board.
age limit
For the post of Tax Assistant, the age of the candidate should be between 18 years to 27 years. For the post of Multi Tasking Staff, the age of the candidate should be between 18 years to 25 years. Age relaxation will be given to reserved category candidates as per government rules.
How much salary will you get?
In this recruitment, the candidates selected for the post of Tax Assistant will be given a salary ranging from Rs 25,500 to Rs 81,100. Whereas the candidates selected for the post of MTS will get a salary ranging from Rs 18,000 to Rs 56,900. Apart from this, employees will also get the benefit of other government allowances.
