The Pakistani Army has put the blame on India for failing to stop the violence in Balochistan. They are alleging that with the help of India, the rebel group Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) has carried out attacks in different districts of Balochistan.
According to The Dawn report, on Wednesday (February 4, 2026), Chief of Defense Forces and Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Asim Munir met the people injured in the BLA attacks at the hospital in Quetta. During this time, Pakistan Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif was also with him. During this, Pakistani Army gave a briefing to Asim Munir regarding the situation in Balochistan and made false allegations against India.
Meeting the victims, Asim Munir said that the terrorists and their helpers who carried out the attacks will not be spared. Every person involved in the attacks will be punished. According to Pakistan’s Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), while giving a briefing to Asim Munir, the Pakistani Army falsely alleged that India-backed terrorists had carried out these attacks. An attempt was made to harm peace, stability and development in Balochistan through attacks, which was foiled by the security forces.
According to the ISPR statement, during Asim Munir’s visit to Quetta, steps being taken to further strengthen power in Balochistan and ensure security of critical infrastructure were also discussed. During this, Asim Munir also said that violence and terrorism cannot be justified for any reason, such people will be dealt with strictly.
Last month, BLA had launched Operation Herof-2 in Balochistan, under which it simultaneously carried out major attacks in 14 cities, including suicide attacks. Pictures of two Baloch women suicides were also released by BLA on social media. It has been confirmed that 15 Pakistani Army soldiers were killed in these BLA attacks. At many places Pakistani security personnel had to leave their posts and run away.
