‘Kesari Chapter 2’ is a sequel to the 2019 hit film ‘Kesari’. While the first film focused on the heroic war of Saragarhi, the film is based on the intensive court battle after the 1919 Jallianwala Bagh massacre. This is the story of real life of C. Shankaran Nair, who was a brave Indian lawyer who fought the British Empire in the court. Directed by Karan Singh Tyagi, the film is based on Raghu Palat and Pushpa Palat’s book ‘The Case That Shuk The Empire’. In the film, Akshay Kumar played the role of C. Shankaran Nair, while R.K. Madhavan plays the role of British lawyer Neville McCinley. At the same time, Ananya Pandey has played a modern character named Dilrit Gill, who adds Contemporary Touch in this historical story.
