On Thursday, there was a huge ruckus in the Uttar Pradesh Assembly between Samajwadi Party MLA Ragini Sonkar and Industrial Minister in the Yogi government, Nand Gopal Nandi. The SP MLA asked the minister a question on industrial investment, on which Nandi faltered in answering and started talking about the old governments, on which Ragini Sonkar interrupted him and asked him to answer directly.
Actually, this happened when SP MLA Ragini Sonkar asked Industrial Minister Nand Gopal Nandi that the government which talks about signing MoUs worth Rs 45 lakh crore, talks about an economy of one trillion, but has been able to do only nine percent work in the last nine years. The minister should answer why this is so?
SP MLA Ragini Sonkar clashed with Yogi’s minister
SP MLA asked that you had talked about Defense Corridor, but it is zero in Chitrakoot, Jhansi, Aligarh and Agra. There is only one corridor in Kanpur and two corridors in Lucknow. So what is the reason for it being zero? You had claimed to grow industry around the expressway but today that too is zero.
Ragini Sonkar asked that the Minister should explain why his department is becoming a zero department? The hopes of all the youth are linked to industrial development. Today you are talking about capita at Rs 1 lakh, but how many jobs have been given in the industry department and how many of them have a salary of Rs 1 lakh.
The minister faltered on Ragini’s question.
When the minister stood up in the House to answer these questions of the SP MLA, he started reading his questions, on this Ragini interrupted him and asked why are you reading the questions? On this the minister said that I don’t know where you went while asking questions. After which Speaker Satish Mahana interrupted him and said that the question has been asked, you should answer.
The SP MLA said that you should tell why only nine percent of the work has been done now and how many people have you given employment. But, Nandi did not have an answer to this, after which the politicians started giving answers and said that during the SP government, UP was an inverted state, a goonda state and UP was called a sick state, but an investment environment has been created in our government.
There was a lot of uproar in the house
After this there started an uproar in the house. Nandi said that if SP people were on the ground, they would not have had to get information from the ground. Taking a jibe at Ragini Sonkar, he said that her politics starts from Instagram and ends on Facebook. After this, the Speaker stopped the minister and asked Finance Minister Suresh Khanna to reply, only then the debate between the two was calmed down.
