India to purchase rafale fighter jets: Experts are expressing concern over the continuously decreasing fighter aircraft in the Indian Air Force, while China is constantly strengthening its Air Force. Meanwhile, a defense -related website said in its report that the Government of India has decided to buy 40 more Rafale fighter aircraft from France.
The deal between India and France will be in the form of government (G2G) from the government. According to the report, French Defense Minister is going to visit India on 28 or 29 April. In this tour, an agreement will be reached between the two countries for the purchase of Rafale Marine fighter jets for the Indian Navy. These Rafale Marine Fighter Jets will be deployed at India’s aircraft carriers.

However, sources have said that due to the immediate needs of the Indian Air Force and the already coordination with Rafale aircraft, the government has decided to buy Rafale aircraft directly. A senior official associated with this conversation said, “This is not just a purchase but a part of a big strategic plan, which will continue in future also.”

To keep the Indian Air Force fully strong, it should have at least 42.5 squadrons, but at this time only 31 squadron are present. Earlier this year, Air Force Marshal AP Singh also said that it is necessary to include 35-40 new fighter aircraft every year due to the retiring of the old aircraft, so that there is no reduction in strength.
