India’s leading telecommunication company Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited i.e. Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) had announced recruitment for Senior Executive Trainee (SET) posts for the year 2026. A total of 120 posts will be filled through this recruitment. Interested and eligible candidates, online applications started from 5th February 2026. The last date to apply for recruitment is very near. Candidates can apply for this till 7th March.
A total of 120 posts will be appointed under this recruitment drive. Of these, 95 posts are for the telecom stream, while 25 posts have been earmarked for the finance stream. That means this is a good opportunity for the youth of both engineering and finance fields.
The application process started from 5 February 2026 and will continue till 7 March 2026. Candidates have been advised not to wait for the last date and complete their applications in time. After this, the correction window will open from March 8 to March 15, 2026. During this time, candidates will be able to correct the mistakes made in their form. Computer based examination i.e. CBT is likely to be held on 29 March 2026.
What qualification is required?
Candidates applying for Telecom stream should have full time BE or B.Tech degree. The candidate must have completed his studies with at least 60 percent marks. Final year students can also apply, provided they complete the degree within the stipulated time. Candidates should have degree in courses like Electronics, Telecommunication, Computer Science, IT, Electrical Engineering. For Finance stream, the candidate must be a Chartered Accountant (CA) or Cost Management Accountant (CMA).
What is the age limit?
The minimum age for this recruitment has been kept at 21 years, while the maximum age has been fixed at 30 years. Reserved category candidates will be given age relaxation as per government rules.
selection process
Candidates will be selected in two phases. The first phase will be Computer Based Examination (CBT). MCQ questions will be asked in this exam. The examination will be conducted through online mode. In the next stage, successful candidates in CBT will be called for document verification. The final appointment process will be completed only after all the certificates are found correct.
