Rashtriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has performed brilliantly in this election and has reached the position of forming the government. He has won a big victory in the elections and is now seen as a fast rising leader in Nepalese politics.
Amresh Kumar Singh had contested the elections from Sarlahi-4 parliamentary seat. On this seat, he was competing against Gagan Thapa, leader of Nepal’s biggest party, Nepali Congress. In the election results, Amresh Singh got 35,688 votes, while his rival Gagan Thapa got 22,838 votes. In this way Amresh Singh won with a huge lead. Communist Party of Nepal candidate Amnish Kumar Yadav stood third on this seat, who got 9,343 votes.

Amresh Kumar Singh’s education has also been quite special. He has studied from Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi, one of the top universities of India. He has obtained a PhD degree in International Relations and International Law from JNU. This subject is related to world politics, relations between countries and international law. This study gave him an opportunity to understand global politics and diplomacy.
When did you come into discussion?
Amresh Kumar Singh, who came into limelight in Nepali politics, has been in the headlines earlier also because of his unique protest. In the year 2024, one of his videos went viral on social media, in which he was seen suddenly taking off his shirt and giving an angry speech inside the Parliament.
In fact, at that time the Speaker of the House had refused to give him time to speak. In protest against this, the then independent MP Amresh Kumar Singh, elected from Southern Madhesh region, expressed strong opposition and continued speaking expressing his displeasure. His style had surprised even the people present inside the Parliament and this incident was in discussion for a long time.
