Due to the ongoing war with America, Iran has closed the Strait of Hormuz. This is the same route through which ships from many countries including India pass carrying crude oil and gas. Meanwhile, a big statement has come from Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi. He said that Hormuz is open to everyone except their enemies. The important thing is that Iran has given passage to two Indian ships.
Abbas Araghchi, while talking to MS Now, said that the strategically important Strait of Hormuz is open. He said, ‘Actually it is closed only to those tankers and ships which belong to our enemies, but the rest can pass through here freely.
On the other hand, US President Donald Trump has demanded from seven countries to send warships to keep Hormuz open. Trump said that the US is in talks with countries that are heavily dependent on Middle East crude oil, so that they can join the coalition monitoring this route. Generally, about one-fifth of the world’s total oil trade passes through this route.
Iran’s Foreign Minister made a big claim about America
During an interview, Araghchi accused America of attacking UAE. He said the US attacked Kharg Island and Abu Musa Island using short-range artillery from two locations in the UAE, Ras Al-Khaimah and another location very close to Dubai. He described this action as dangerous and said that Iran will try its best to take precautions so that no populated area there is attacked.
Two Indian ships found passage
After the closure of the Strait of Hormuz, ships from many countries of the world have got stuck. However, two Indian ships have found way to come. These ships will soon reach India with gas.
