Its distance from Caracas is about 168 kilometers. Its depth was 13 kilometers. At the same time, the intensity of the second earthquake was measured at 7.5 magnitude. Its center was 16 kilometers south-west of Moron. The depth of the second earthquake was 10 kilometers. Both earthquakes occurred at a depth of only 10 to 13 kilometers from the ground surface, which is considered very shallow in seismology.
