A shocking case of cheating has come to light during JEE Mains examination in Durg district. Here a candidate tried to use his mobile phone in the examination by hiding it inside his slippers. This incident took place at the examination center of Parthiv Engineering and Management College located in Bhilai-3, where the examination was conducted on April 2. At present, the police have taken the accused candidate Aditya Kumar into custody and started questioning him.
According to the information, Aditya Kumar reached the examination center on time and entered the lab after normal security check. Initially everything seemed normal, but during the examination his activities appeared suspicious. It is being told that he went to the washroom for bio-break at 11.08 am and returned after about 20 minutes.
Suspicion arose due to the way of walking
When he returned from the washroom, his antics caught the attention of the security guard. He was walking dragging his slippers, which did not look normal. When the guard became suspicious, he immediately stopped him and made him remove his slippers and examined him. What came to light during the investigation shocked everyone.
The mobile was hidden by cutting the slippers.
The guard noticed that the mobile phone had been hidden in the slippers by cutting them from inside. An attempt to copy in this unique way has come to light for the first time. After this, the officials of the examination center were immediately informed and the management was informed about the entire matter.
On the instructions of the management, dial 112 was called, after which the police reached the spot and took Aditya Kumar into custody and was taken to Old Bhilai police station. Police have also confiscated the mobile phone.
In this matter, a case has been registered under Section 9 of the Chhattisgarh Public Examination Act 2008 and investigation has been started. At present the police is trying to find out whether anyone else is involved in this.
