Why Routine Health Tests Are Important In Your 30s: In today’s busy life, by the time they turn 30, people become so busy with their career and responsibilities that they often leave their health behind. Everything seems normal from outside, but this is the age when many serious diseases start developing silently in the body. Experts believe that if regular check-ups are started in time, then these problems can be caught in the initial stage itself.

What do experts say?

After 30, all kinds of problems start occurring in the body. A survey by the Government of India found that from this age many diseases like prediabetes, fatty liver and thyroid imbalance increase gradually without any obvious symptoms. By the time these signs appear, treatment can be long and complicated. Therefore, the age of 30 is considered very important from health point of view, because starting from this time prevention is most effective.

Blood test should not be ignored

Dr Ashwani Kansal told TOI that blood tests in particular should not be ignored. Tests like fasting blood sugar and HbA1c can tell in which direction the sugar level in the body is going. HbA1c test shows the average sugar level of the last three months, so that early signs of diabetes can be easily detected. Similarly, lipid profile is also very important. It gives not only cholesterol but many indications related to heart health. Sometimes, despite total cholesterol being normal, imbalance of triglycerides or HDL can increase the risk of heart disease.

fatty liver problem

Fatty liver is a problem that is now increasing rapidly, even among people who do not drink alcohol. There are no specific symptoms in the initial stage, but with time it can take a serious form. It can be detected with a simple ultrasound, but people often ignore it. It is also not right to consider weight as just a number. Along with BMI, it is also important to know the ratio of fat and muscles in the body. Many times a person looks fit from outside, but the fat hidden inside the body can cause major diseases in the future.

It is important to check these things

Heart and thyroid related tests should also be done on time. Many times swelling or thyroid problem remains symptomless in the initial stage, but later on it can affect energy, mood and metabolism. Apart from this, deficiency of Vitamin D, B12 and iron is also becoming common, which people often ignore as fatigue or stress. Through regular testing, these deficiencies can be detected in time and corrected.
