Deepika Chikhlia shared a story on her social media, in which it was written that ‘Ramayana should be such that no matter how big a budget i.e. Rs 4000 crore is spent, it is not easy to recreate its original spirit. As soon as this post surfaced, a debate started among people whether it was a hint towards Ranbir Kapoor’s film or it was just an idea. However, in the meantime, he had earlier also praised the teaser of the film and said that the project looks very grand and spectacular.
On the other hand, Ranbir Kapoor, who is playing the role of Lord Ram in this film, also shared his experience and said that earlier he had refused to play this character because he felt that he would not be able to do justice to it, but with time he felt a responsibility and connection with this role.

Let us tell you that this film is being made on a big scale and it is a film made in two parts, which is being directed by Nitesh Tiwari and it is being produced in collaboration with Prime Focus Studios. In this film, Yash will be seen in the role of Ravana and Sai Pallavi is playing the role of Mother Sita. Apart from this, Ravi Dubey will be seen as Laxman and Sunny Deol as Hanuman. The film is planned to be released in two parts in Diwali 2026 and 2027 and it will be shown worldwide in big formats like IMAX.
