There is great news for the youth of Puri district who are preparing for jobs. SSB Odisha has released the official notification of Librarian Recruitment 2026. This recruitment is being done for non-government aided colleges of the state. In this recruitment process, a total of 8 posts have been fixed for Puri district. This is considered to be a great opportunity for the candidates who have studied library science and are looking for a government job. The minimum age of the candidates applying for this recruitment should be 21 years, while the maximum age has been fixed at 42 years. Age will be calculated on the basis of 1 January 2026. Reserved category candidates will also get age relaxation as per government rules. SC, ST, SEBC, women and ex-servicemen candidates will be given relaxation of up to 5 years.
Ability
Candidates applying for this recruitment must have a bachelor’s degree in Library Science. The degree should be from a recognized university or institute. If the candidate has taken the degree from outside the state of Odisha, then he/she may also have to provide equivalency certificate. selection process
Candidates will be selected in this recruitment only through written examination. No type of interview has been held. The exam will be objective type, in which MCQs will be asked. There will be a total of 100 questions in the exam and the total marks will be 150. 2 hours will be given for the exam. 1.5 marks will be given for every correct answer, while 0.5 marks will be deducted for every wrong answer. Therefore, candidates will have to answer thoughtfully.
