Why did RCB team wear green jersey?
In the year 2011, Royal Challengers Bangalore started the ‘Go Green’ initiative. Since 2011, the RCB team takes the field wearing green jersey for at least one match every season. By doing this, the Bengaluru team works to spread global warming and environmental awareness.
Rajesh Menon, CEO of Royal Challengers Bangalore franchise, says that it is the result of years of hard work that today this franchise has got the status of being carbon-neutral. He said that this initiative also inspires the common people.

The management of RCB takes full care that carbon emissions are reduced at the team level also. For this, records of the team’s travel, hotel stay, electricity usage and emissions from diesel generators are also kept. Apart from this, the team has also tried to connect the fans with this initiative. Metro tickets have been arranged along with match tickets.
