One such news was going viral on social media for some time. In which it was being told that now Indian citizens will have to submit Income Tax Clearance Certificate before going on a foreign trip. Now the government itself has exposed this claim.
Central government told the truth of viral claim
Recently, the Fact Check Department of PIB has made a tweet through its official X (Twitter) account. In which he has shared a screenshot of a video. Sharing this, he wrote, ‘In a video of an Instagram account (casarthakahuja), it is being claimed that every Indian citizen is required to obtain Income Tax Clearance Certificate (ITCC) every time before going abroad. This claim is fake.

Further stating the truth, he wrote, ‘The truth is that under Section 230 of the Income Tax Act, this certificate is not necessary for everyone. This has to be taken only by certain people in certain circumstances. This rule has been the same since 2003 and even after the changes in 2024, no changes have been made in it. Through this post, PIB has made it clear that this is a completely fake claim.
Let us tell you that a video of an investment banker Sarthak Ahuja was going viral on social media, in which he had claimed that from April 1, every person will have to submit income tax certificate before going abroad. This video quickly went viral on social media and people became worried. After which the government itself came forward and gave its clarification on this.
