Rinku Singh has scored a fifty in IPL after almost three years. This inning of Rinku was very special, because with his strong batting, he gave his team KKR its first win in IPL 2026. Rinku was struggling with poor form this season. There was even talk of dropping him from the team, but Rinku’s bat roared fiercely against Rajasthan Royals. He played a match-winning inning of 53 runs unbeaten in 34 balls.
Rinku Singh along with Anukul Roy helped Kolkata Knight Riders win the almost lost match. He said after the match, “Sometimes it happens, when some things don’t go your way, you don’t feel that enthusiasm. It was not that I was hesitant or had any dilemma about playing my shots. My thinking was to take the game till the end. Sometimes it happens like this. The brain does not work properly and you end up playing such shots. But thankfully, luck was with me and ultimately we won the match.”

He hit 5 fours and two sixes during his innings of 53 runs in 34 balls. Rinku admitted that she had been waiting for this innings for a long time and it was very important for her confidence. He said, “I had played a lot of innings and was waiting for a big innings. This was a very good innings for me and was also very important for my confidence.”

Rajasthan had scored only 155 runs in this match after playing first, but the bowlers wreaked havoc and Kolkata lost 6 wickets for 85 runs in the 14th over. The required run rate was 12. It seemed that the match was over now, but Rinku Singh (53 not out in 34 balls) and Anukul Roy (29 not out in 16 balls) turned the tables and made KKR win the lost game.
