According to the Meteorological Department, this change has happened due to the effect of western disturbance, due to which a drop in temperature has been recorded. Due to western disturbance, dust storm, lightning and light to moderate rain is expected in Punjab, Haryana, Delhi-NCR, Rajasthan.
The Meteorological Department says that Delhi-NCR may see a drop of 3-4 degrees Celsius in the maximum temperature and after that it is expected to increase by about 2-3 degrees Celsius. On Thursday (April 30), the maximum temperature was 39.9 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature was 25.4 degrees Celsius. The Meteorological Department estimates that between May 2 and 6, storms, rain and strong winds may be seen again.

How will be the weather of Delhi?
There has been a slight coolness in the weather since Thursday evening and rain and hailstorm were seen in many areas. According to the Meteorological Department, during the last 24 hours, south-easterly winds blew in Delhi, whose speed was 10-15 km/hr and with gusts it reached up to 46 km/hr. The Meteorological Department estimates that today Friday (May 1) it will be partly cloudy in Delhi. At the same time, the minimum temperature is likely to be between 20 to 22 degrees Celsius and the maximum temperature is likely to be between 39 to 41 degrees Celsius. During this period the wind speed is expected to be 40 to 60 kilometers per hour. In case of dust storm, the wind speed can reach up to 60–70 kilometers per hour. The Meteorological Department has predicted partly cloudy sky in North West, West, North, South and South East Delhi.

Today the Meteorological Department has issued yellow alert for some parts of Delhi and orange alert for some parts. Yellow alert means that there is a possibility of rain with thunderstorms and strong winds today. At the same time, Orange Alert means strong storm, dusty storm, strong winds, in which it is advised to be careful and alert.
