Romantic drama film ‘Ek Din’ directed by Sunil Pandey was released in theaters on 1 May. It clashes with Riteish Deshmukh’s Raja Shivaji and Mohanlal-Mammootty’s Patriot. Apart from these two films, Junaid Khan and Sai Pallavi starrer ‘Ek Din’ failed to impress the audience and could not even beat the opening day collection of films like Loveyapa (2025) and Love Story (2021). Let us tell you that South’s top actress Sai Pallavi has debuted in Bollywood with ‘Ek Din’. This is the second Hindi film of Aamir Khan’s son Junaid Khan. However, ‘Ek Din’ could not do any wonders at the box office and it flopped badly on the very first day of its release. Talking about the collection of the film, according to the early trend data of trade website Saknilk, ‘Ek Din’ has made a net collection of Rs 0.81 crore on the first day of its release in India. The total occupancy of the film has been 14%.
‘Ek Din’ could not even beat the opening day of Junaid’s ‘Loveyapa’
The beginning of this film of Junaid-Sai was nothing special compared to other romantic films. Let us tell you that Junaid’s first film ‘Loveyapa’ also did not perform well at the box office, yet it collected Rs 1.15 crore on its opening day. Sai’s hit Telugu film ‘Love Story’ had collected Rs 9.05 crore on its first day. At the same time, ‘Ek Din’ is not even close to Hindi cinema’s most successful romantic drama film ‘Sayara’ (2025), which had an opening collection of Rs 21.50 crore.

Ek Din is a romantic drama film directed by Sunil Pandey and produced by Mansoor Khan, Aamir Khan and Aparna Purohit under the banner of Aamir Khan Productions. This film is Sai’s first film in Bollywood and Junaid’s second release. It is a remake of the 2016 Thai film ‘One Day’. Initially it was planned to be released in November 2025, but later it was postponed till May.
