Petrol-Diesel News: If tanker does not reach any pump then limit imposed somewhere… Panic increased among people, now be careful before travelling.

Petrol-Diesel News: These days, people’s concern about petrol and diesel is increasing in many states of the country. Such situations have arisen in many areas including Uttarakhand where oil tankers could not reach some petrol pumps on time. After this, many pump owners have set a limit on giving oil out of compulsion. At some places, petrol worth only Rs 500 is being given to two-wheelers, while at other places a limit of Rs 2000 has been fixed for car owners.

Why is the crisis increasing?

The effect of the ongoing tension in the Middle East and problems related to oil supply is now visible in many parts of India. Although the government and oil companies are continuously saying that there is no shortage of petrol and diesel in the country, the messages and rumors going viral on social media have created fear among the people. This is the reason why people are filling petrol more than necessary. Long lines are being seen in many cities. Due to sudden increase in demand, the stock of some petrol pumps is getting exhausted quickly.

More trouble in Uttarakhand

The situation is said to be worse in many parts of Uttarakhand. According to reports, only one day’s stock was left at many small petrol pumps in Dehradun and Haldwani. No stock boards were also installed at some places. Pump owners say that there is a delay in the supply of tankers. For this reason they have to impose limits so that more people can get oil.

Social media increased panic

The rumors spreading on social media have increased the fear more than the oil crisis. Such posts are continuously going viral on WhatsApp, Facebook and X, in which people are talking about running out of petrol and a big crisis. At many places people were also seen storing petrol in bottles and drums. This is the reason why a shortage-like situation has started developing. However, the oil companies and the government have clearly stated and are announcing every time that there is sufficient stock available and people should not do panic buying.

Be careful if you are planning a trip

If you are preparing for a long journey then you need to be a little cautious. In many cities, long lines are being formed at petrol pumps and at some places only limited quantity of oil is being given. In such a situation, before setting out on a journey, definitely get information about the petrol pumps on your route. Try not to wait until the tank is very empty.

Is it really a big crisis?

At present there is no major national level crisis of petrol and diesel in the country. The real problem is arising from panic buying i.e. excessive buying due to fear. The government says that the refinery and supply system are working normally. But if people keep filling more oil than required like this, then temporary problems may increase in many places. At present, the most important thing is to avoid rumors and buy petrol and diesel only as per requirement.
