In the case of death of 10 people due to drinking poisonous liquor in Motihari, Bihar in the month of April, the Prohibition Department took action after investigation and suspended 14 personnel. After which there is panic in the entire department. Suspended employees have been attached to the Prohibition Department in Muzaffarpur, Saharsa and Bhagalpur and have been instructed to report.
On the orders of the State Headquarters, Patna, the Deputy Commissioner of Darbhanga Division investigated the entire matter, in which many shortcomings of the accused personnel were found. As soon as the report was received, the department took strict action against all the accused personnel.

What was the whole matter?
In fact, in the beginning of April, the condition of 10 people deteriorated one by one after drinking liquor made from poisonous spirit in Turkaulia, Raghunathpur area of the district, and they were taken to the hospital. But they could not be saved. After which all of them died. This incident raised questions on the government regarding illegal liquor in the state. After which orders were given from the state headquarters Patna to investigate the entire matter.
Deputy Commissioner of Darbhanga Division investigated
After the order in this matter, the Deputy Commissioner of Darbhanga Division investigated the entire matter, in which it was found that no action report was registered against illegal liquor anywhere in these places from January to March. Which was considered a big negligence. As soon as the report was received, Inspector level officers Manish Saraf, Dharmendra Kumar, Mohd. Seraj, Sub Inspector Mukesh Kumar, Uday Kumar, Nagesh Kumar, Dharmendra Jha and Assistant Sub Inspector level Dharmendra Kumar Singh, Basant Kumar Mahato, Kavindra Kumar, Ranjit Kumar, Ajay Kumar, Shashi Rishi and Roshni Kumari were suspended.
It has been clarified in the order that all the suspended personnel will report at the Prohibition Group Center of Muzaffarpur, Saharsa, Bhagalpur. Now questions are being raised that if the department had taken action on illegal liquor in time, 10 families could have been saved from destruction.
