US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, who is on a four-day visit to India, met with National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval in New Delhi on Sunday (May 24, 2026). Regarding this meeting, Indian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal issued an official statement saying, ‘India’s National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval held a meeting today on Sunday (May 24) with the US Secretary of State, US Ambassador to India Sergio Gore and other US officials. In this meeting, serious and detailed discussions were held on issues related to defence, security and strategic technical cooperation between the two countries, in which the TRUST initiative was also included.

He said, ‘Both National Security Advisors reiterated the high priority given to the Comprehensive Global Strategic Partnership between India and the US. Apart from this, the Indian National Security Advisor and the US Secretary of State also exchanged their views on several regional and global issues during the meeting.

At the same time, according to news agency ANI, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio met Indian Foreign Minister Dr. S. Addressed a joint press briefing with Jaishankar. During this, Marco Rubio mentioned the contribution of the Indian community to the American economy. He said, ‘America is a very welcoming country. Our country has been enriched by people from all over the world. They came to America, became Americans, assimilated into our lifestyle and are contributing to the development of the country.
He further said, ‘I agree that Indians have contributed more than $20 billion to the American economy and we want this number to continue to grow.’
