‘If you had an understanding of history…’, Marco Rubio took a photo in Taj Mahal, Iran made fun of him, also mentioned Trump

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio is on a visit to India. On Monday (25 May) he reached to see the Taj Mahal. Taking aim at this, the Iranian Consulate in Hyderabad said that Iran’s talented architects played an important role in the construction of this monument, while America is today threatening to ‘annihilate Iranian civilization’.

Rubio visited the Taj Mahal with his wife Janet Rubio on Monday (May 25) and described the famous Mughal-era monument as ‘one of the most beautiful symbols of love in the world’. The embassy also shared a photo of Rubio and his wife posed in front of the Taj Mahal in the post. Rubio, who was on a four-day visit to India, reached Agra on Monday and visited the Taj Mahal amid tight security arrangements.

What did the Iranian Consulate say?

The Iranian Consulate wrote in a post on ‘X’, ‘If Rubio had any knowledge of history or architecture, he would not have stood here to get photographed. This monument was built in love for the emperor’s Iranian wife and is an example of the talent of Iranian architects, while their (Rubio’s country America) government is today threatening to destroy Iranian civilization and insulting other civilizations.
