The Israeli Defense Ministry said on Monday (1 June 2026) that France has banned Israeli government representatives from participating in the Eurosatory defense exhibition to be held in Paris this month. After this decision of France, Israel’s Defense Ministry will neither be able to participate in this exhibition nor will it be able to set up its stall.
Israel excluded from defense exhibition
The Israeli government said, ‘Under this French ban, there is a complete ban on the participation of Israeli government representatives and setting up their stalls. Israel’s defense industries are restricted to showcasing only air defense related products, while the display of offensive weapons is completely banned. However, despite these restrictions, many Israeli companies can demonstrate defensive weapons by setting up small private desks at their level.
The Israeli Defense Ministry expressed strong objection to this decision, calling it discriminatory compared to other countries and a direct violation of the rules of international defense exhibitions. The Defense Ministry said, ‘This is a very shameful decision, which has been taken considering political and commercial benefits. This decision of France will always keep it on the wrong side of history.
‘Israeli defense system better than France’
Israel claimed, ‘Our defense systems are better than France’s, that is why Israeli weapons were not given a place on the international stage. Israeli weapons have proven to have excellent accuracy against terrorists and countries that threaten global peace.
According to the report of The Jerusalem Post, Israeli sources believe that this step of France is not only an attempt to defame Israel, but also a conspiracy to weaken it as a strong competitor in the field of defense. Sources have also expressed concern that many non-democratic countries, which are considered a threat to international peace, will be able to display their weapons in this exhibition, while Israel has been kept out of it.
The defense relationship between Israel and India is based on strategic partnership. Under this, India buys advanced weapons, radar systems and missile technology from Israel. Recently, defense deals worth about 8.6 to 10 billion dollars were agreed between the two countries, under which Israel will hand over the most lethal weapons and advanced technologies to India.
