Cheap Fuel News: To provide some relief to the people from the rising prices of petrol in the country, the government has prepared a cheaper option for it. This cheaper option is E-85 fuel. Whose first station has been opened in Delhi. Its sale has started, this fuel is cheaper by about Rs 20 per liter compared to normal petrol, but the surprising thing is that till now no one has come forward to buy it.

What is E-85 fuel?
E-85 is a fuel which contains a mixture of 85 percent ethanol and 15 percent petrol. The government has been promoting ethanol based fuel for a long time, so that dependence on crude oil imports can be reduced and pollution can also be controlled.

Sales are not happening despite low price
However, despite the low price, there is no enthusiasm among customers regarding E-85. The biggest reason for this is that E-85 cannot be used in vehicles running on normal petrol. For this, vehicles with special type of flex-fuel engine are required, which are currently available in very small numbers in the Indian market.

lack of information
Moreover, most vehicle owners do not have adequate knowledge about E-85 fuel. Many people do not know what this fuel is and in which vehicles it can be used. For this reason, despite E-85 being available at petrol pumps, demand has not been created.

Number of flex-fuel vehicles
Unless the number of flex-fuel vehicles increases and awareness about this fuel increases among people, there is little possibility of its sales increasing. The government and auto companies are working on plans to promote flex-fuel vehicles in the coming years. In such a situation, the demand for E-85 fuel may increase in future.
