‘This is the beginning of treason…’, Khwaja Asif’s threat to the protesters in PoK, know what he said by quoting Quran?

These days, public protests against the Pakistani army and government are continuing with great vigor in Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK). Meanwhile, Pakistan’s Defense Minister Khawaja Asif has given a big threat to the people protesting in PoK. He has termed the movement of the people of PoK as the beginning of treason. Along with this, both constitutional and religious arguments have been cited to intensify the action against the people.

X Pakistani Defense Minister threatened in the post

Pakistani Defense Minister Khawaja Asif made a post on social media platform X. In which he wrote, ‘Treason begins with betrayal and disobedience towards the country. Some misguided brothers of Azad Kashmir, who are currently following some agenda, must read Article 5 of the Constitution of Pakistan, which demands unwavering loyalty to the country.

Apart from this, he quoted a verse from the Quran (Surah Al-Maida-33) in the post and wrote, ‘But even more important is the decree of Allah, which mentions the punishment for those who wage war against Allah and His Messenger and try to spread corruption on earth.’

In fact, this statement of Pakistan Defense Minister Khawaja Asif has come at a time when tensions have increased in Pakistan occupied Kashmir i.e. POK and the authorities have started taking action in search of four protesters.

Apart from this, according to Pakistani media reports, a reward of one crore Pakistani rupees has been announced for the person giving information leading to the arrest of a leader associated with the Joint Awami Action Committee (JAAC). On the other hand, treason action has also been initiated against two leaders of JAAC.
