Iran’s Mosquito Fleet consists of Ghadir-class small submarines, suicide boats and a large number of missile boats. These missile boats are, in a way, assault boats. Together, like a swarm of mosquitoes, they attack enemy warships, oil tankers and commercial ships. By the time the enemy is able to recover, they complete their work and return back to their maritime limits. These do not come into the enemy’s radar even from a distance. By the time they arrive, they hide in the caves built on the sea coast.
Iran still occupies Hormuz
US President Donald Trump may repeatedly say that Iran’s navy has been destroyed, but the world knows that Hormuz is still under Iran’s control. The specialty of this fleet is that due to being light and agile, these ships can be hidden in the tunnels built on the rocky coast of Iran, which makes it difficult for America to destroy them with long-range weapons.
These small boats of IRGC remain a big strategic challenge for the US Army, because missiles, guns and other weapons are deployed on these small boats, which keep defeating the enemy from time to time. This fleet acts as a guerrilla force in the sea, or rather, carries out guerrilla warfare, attacks the enemies and is capable of fleeing immediately.
How does this fleet work?
These boats come at a speed of about 100 miles per hour, surround the warship, fire drones or missiles and then hide without being seen on radar. They are kept tied to banks inside deep caves carved on rocky sea shores. These are removed immediately when needed. These boats equipped with suicide drones and missiles die only after completing the work of the enemies.
Putin praised profusely
Russian President Putin has also praised Iran’s assymetric warfare or guerrilla warfare in the war against America. The way Iran has deceived America in the war in the Middle East, Russian President Vladimir Putin has also become convinced of Tehran. Putin has even ordered his admirals that the Russian Navy should also prepare such a Mosquito Fleet because Russia also operates big warships like big navies like America, India and China.
America said attack
Within just 2 days of Putin’s praise, America has launched a massive attack on Iran’s Mosquito Fleet. The attacks carried out by the US Central Command on Thursday in Bushehr and Khuzestan provinces in southern Iran included Iranian air defense systems and military bases, as well as small boats parked in ports. Centcom also released drone footage of the attack, in which a direct attack on small boats is clearly visible.
According to Centcom, this attack was carried out by F-18 Superhornet fighter planes deployed on the US Navy aircraft carrier. In Round-2 of the war against Iran, CENTCOM is especially attacking the Mosquito Fleet, which has become the strength of the Iranian Navy.
