Here US-Iran deal is done, on the other side India is going to get great news tomorrow! Shortage of LPG will go away

Amidst the ongoing tension in the Middle East and uncertainty over the Strait of Hormuz, good news has emerged for India. Shipping Ministry Director Opesh Kumar Sharma said on Thursday that a big gas ship named Disha has crossed the Strait of Hormuz. He said that there is 62,370 metric tons of Liquid Natural Gas (LNG) on this ship, which will reach Dahej Port in Gujarat on Friday (19 June 2026). All this is happening at a time when one day in the G7 meeting, PM Modi had raised the issue of security of ships carrying Indian sailors with Trump.

Government took steps for Indian sailors

It was told by the Shipping Ministry that the Central Government is keeping a close watch on the situation in the Middle East. He said that a special control room has been set up to help Indian sailors, in which 450 calls and 1077 emails have been received in the last 72 hours. It was told by the ministry that till now the government has brought back more than 3639 Indian sailors safely, out of which 47 sailors have been brought back in the last 3 days.

Sujata Sharma, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, gave information about the fuel supply and energy situation in the country. He said, ‘The supply of petrol, diesel, natural gas and LPG in the country remains stable. Refineries are working at their full capacity and crude oil stock is also being maintained in sufficient quantity. The backlog of LPG has reduced to 3.1 days.

Shortage of LPG will go away

This is the first major gas (LNG) ship to come to India via Hormuz after the US-Iran peace agreement. The arrival of this consignment is likely to bring major relief to India’s natural gas supply. Sujata Sharma said, ‘A total of 9.94 lakh new customers have registered for PNG services. We appeal to all citizens to use energy responsibly, make every effort to save fuel in everyday life and buy fuel only as per their actual needs.

The agreement was signed on Thursday to end the months-long conflict and tension between America and Iran. The purpose of this agreement is to extend the ceasefire between the two sides and to resume shipping transit through the Strait of Hormuz. Under this 14-point agreement, all the sanctions imposed on Iran have been lifted. Iran can now sell oil to the world. Along with this, Iran can also get restricted assets worth billions of dollars and funding worth 300 billion dollars.
