Rishabh Pant DC Return: Rishabh Pant is once again back in Delhi Capitals. He has left Lucknow Super Giants. Pant returned home through a trade deal. Indian spinner Kuldeep Yadav became a part of Lucknow from Delhi in place of wicketkeeper batsman. Pant suffered a loss of Rs 12 crore in this deal. IPL confirmed this deal by issuing a media advisory.
“In one of the most significant player trades in recent IPL history, former Lucknow Super Giants captain Rishabh Pant is returning to Delhi Capitals, while Kuldeep Yadav will be joining Lucknow,” the advisory read.
“Pant is returning to the franchise with which he spent 9 seasons between 2016 and 2024 and played 111 matches. Pant, one of the important faces of the franchise for almost a decade, also captained the team in 43 matches in four seasons from 2021 to 2024.”
In the IPL 2025 player auction, LSG bought Pant for a record-breaking price of Rs 27 crore. With this Pant became the most expensive player in IPL history. After this trade, he will join Delhi again for a new fee of Rs 15 crore.”

Kuldeep Yadav will support Lucknow
Kuldeep will join Lucknow for a price of Rs 13.50 crore. The Indian spinner was retained by Delhi for the 2026 season at a price of Rs 13.25 crore. In this way, Kuldeep will get a profit of Rs 25 lakh in the deal. Now it will be interesting to see how Kuldeep will perform with Lucknow.
