Big news has come for lakhs of youth preparing for government jobs in Uttar Pradesh. The official notification of PCS 2026 recruitment has been released in Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission. With this, the online application process has started. Candidates can apply online for this recruitment till 27th July 2026. About 500 posts will be filled through this recruitment. However, the Commission has indicated that the number of these vacant posts may be increased further.
Interested and eligible candidates can apply online till 27 July 2026. At the same time, for those candidates who want to correct any mistake after application or want to solve the problem related to fee, time has been given till 3 August 2026.
One time registration is necessary
Before applying, candidates are advised to obtain their OTR number. This time, one time registration process has been made the most important in the application process. The Commission clearly said that without OTR number, no candidate will be able to apply. So if any candidate has not yet done one time registration, then the candidate can complete this process before the applicant. According to the Commission, to get the OTR number, the candidates will have to register at least 72 hours before the application so that their information can be updated in the system.
What is OTR?
One Time Registration (OTR) is a process in which candidates have to fill their basic information once on the Commission’s portal. After this, if the candidate fills any other form in the future, there is no need to enter his basic details again and again.
With this process of OTR, the process of filling the form becomes easier and the possibility of mistakes also reduces.
exam pattern
UPPSC PCS 2026 exam will be held in three phases. First of all there will be prelims. Only the candidates who pass this will be able to appear in the next stage i.e. Mains examination. The main examination will be written and there will be papers on different subjects. There will be General Hindi 150 marks, Essay 150 marks and 6 papers of General Studies, each paper will be of 200 marks. After this, the candidates who pass the main examination will be called for interview. The interview will be of 100 marks.

How much will the application fee cost?
To appear in UPPSC PCS 2026 examination, General, EWS and OBC candidates will have to pay Rs 125, SC, ST and Ex-Servicemen candidates will have to pay Rs 65. Whereas only Rs 25 has been kept for PwD candidates.

step 1: To apply, first go to the official website of the Commission, uppsc.up.nic.in.
Step 2: Complete the registration by visiting the OTR portal.
Step 3: Login after getting OTR number.
Step 4: Click on PCS 2026 application link.
Step 5: Fill all the required information and upload the documents.
Step 6: Finally, after checking the details, submit the form and download a copy of the application and keep it safe for future.
