If a student’s mother or father has been martyred or retired while serving in the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF), Assam Rifles or Police Department, then she can avail the benefit of Prime Minister’s Scholarship Scheme (PMSS). Under this scheme, a scholarship of Rs 2,250 per month is given to eligible girl students doing graduation in the first year.
