An FIR was registered against star all-rounder Shashank Singh, who plays for Punjab Kings in the IPL, his father Shailesh Singh and another for assaulting and abusing a cook named Dipendra Singh Tomar. Now Shashank has broken his silence on this matter. Shashank told that the cook demanded Rs 20,000 as soon as he arrived. Apart from this he told that he did not know how to cook anything.
What did Shashank Singh say about the assault?
When Shashank Singh was questioned by news agency PTI about the assault with the cook, he said, “There is nothing like that. A person who comes on the evening of 25th and leaves on the morning of 28th, how can you hold him hostage? That man came to us saying that I know how to cook. I can cook all kinds of food. But then he himself confessed to them that he does not know how to cook.”

‘Made a video of the bedroom’
Shashank further said, “How can you trust such a person. He came to the house and started making videos of the bedroom. He also went to the bedroom, where expensive and luxury things were kept, made videos of that place and sent it to other people. What would you say about this. I barely spent 1 minute with him. Asked him what food he cooks? He replied that Indian, Chinese and everything.”
Demanded Rs 20,000 thousand
Shashank further said, “He came through a friend of my father, who told me that he knows how to cook everything. But as soon as he came to the house, he asked for advance money of Rs 20,000. My mother said that cook food for the first 2-3 days. We will see whether you are able to adjust here or not. After that we will decide how much money to give.”
He further said, “Demanding Rs 20,000 in the beginning itself makes him suspicious. Who demands Rs 20,000 immediately after coming in? First show your work, only then we will keep it. Obviously he did not know how to make anything.”
