Bank Merger News: These days some such news are coming out on social media, in which it is being said that three big banks of India are going to be merged. According to reports, three banks are included in this list. One is PNB i.e. Punjab National Bank, SBI i.e. State Bank of India and the third is Canara Bank. Now the government agency PIB has revealed the truth of these news going viral. In fact, recently PIB Fact Check has clearly declared this news false by sharing a post through its official X (Twitter) account. He has shared a screenshot of this news and has clearly written FAKE on it.

Highlighting the truth of this news, PIB has written in the caption along with the photo, ‘A photo is going viral on social media in which it is wrongly claimed that the government has approved the merger of Punjab National Bank (PNB), Canara Bank and State Bank of India (SBI). This claim is #FAKE.

Further stating the truth, the agency wrote, ‘The Government of India has not approved any proposal for merger of PNB, Canara Bank and SBI. The picture going viral is fabricated and is not related to any real newspaper or official information of the government.
