Afghanistan has given a befitting reply to Pakistan’s air strike. The Afghan army entered into Pakistan’s Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa late last night (June 30) and carried out an air strike. The Taliban’s Defense Ministry has confirmed this. Claimed that their target was the bases of Islamic State Khorasan (ISIS-K).

Pakistan carried out air strikes in three provinces of Afghanistan on Monday (June 29) night. According to the Taliban regime, 36 civilians were killed in the attacks, in response to this, at 11 pm on June 30, Afghanistan carried out retaliatory air strikes in Pakistan’s Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa provinces.

Afghan Defense Ministry gave information

The Defense Ministry of Afghanistan issued a statement and informed that the building on which the Afghan Army conducted a drone strike in Sarnan Bazar area of Pishni district of Balochistan was the joint camp of the global terrorist group Islamic State Khorasan (ISKP) and ‘unruly and corrupt’ network.

On the other hand, reports from Pakistan claimed that the building on which the strike took place was actually a school. Where former soldiers of the Afghan Army lived and 3 former soldiers were injured in the attack by the Afghan Army. Actually, these former soldiers had joined Ahmed Masood Jr.’s National Resistance Front (NRF) after the Taliban takeover and Pakistan had given them shelter and camps in 2023.

Afghanistan has been presenting evidence for the past several years that the National Resistance Front (NRF) and ISKP are fighting together against the Afghan Taliban and the ISI has formed their joint brigade.

Claim of targeting ISKP camp

Apart from Balochistan, the Afghan Army informed that it had attacked Kambar Khel in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province and ISKP camp in Chitral, although the successful attack at these two places has not been confirmed, but a drone has definitely fallen on a house in Hassan Khel area near Peshawar. In which 1 woman died and 6 people were injured, who are undergoing treatment in a hospital located in Peshawar.

Afghanistan denies drone strike

According to the information, the drone has fallen on a residential house in Hassan Khel, Peshawar due to air defense intercept, due to which debris of both the drone and the interceptor missile fell on the house and due to this there has been a lot of damage. Similarly, in the night, a drone had fallen on a house in Quetta, the capital of Balochistan, however, the Defense Ministry of Afghanistan has not taken responsibility for this drone strike and there was no casualty in this drone strike.

Civilian targets were not targeted – Afghan Defense Ministry

The Afghan Defense Ministry claimed in its statement that all the attacks were accurate and civilian targets were not targeted anywhere. In such a situation, it remains to be seen whether the attacks carried out by Afghanistan on Pakistan last night stop or whether Afghanistan continues the attacks further and then how the Pakistani Army responds to these attacks.
