EPFO Portal: Employees Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) is going to stop all its online services till the night of July 1, 2026 due to technical upgradation (Centralized IT System 2.0). This includes everything from PF claim to passbook download and UAN. As per the notice given on the EPFO portal, the services will no longer be available till 11:59 pm on July 1 and are expected to resume from 12:00 am on July 2, 2026.
Why is the deadline being extended?
This time limit is being extended with the aim of increasing the speed of the portal and increasing the speed of claim settlement in future. These days, EPFO is busy in the work of consolidating the database of its claim processing system and upgrading the software since June 26.
After this upgradation, the time taken for claim settlement will be significantly reduced, processing efficiency and service delivery will be better and the problem of frequent portal crashes will also be fixed. However, as long as the work continues, members and employers will not be able to access online services through the member interface and employer interface.

Now what is the solution?
If you have to claim PF or check your passbook for any important work, then wait for the restart of the system on July 2. However, if there is any situation like marriage or medical emergency, you can go to your nearest PF office and submit the physical form.
Deadline extended twice
When EPFO initially started functioning from June 26, it had said that online services would be closed till June 28 and they would be reinstated on June 29. Later the maintenance deadline was extended to June 30 and it was told that the service would start from July 1. Now in the latest notice it has been said that there will be a delay of one more day in starting the service. Now services on the portal are expected to be available from July 2.
