On the 26th day of protests in Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK), Sardar Aman Khan, one of the main organizers of the protests, has made a big appeal to India. He has sought help from the people of Poonch, Mendhar, Rajouri and Doda of Jammu in delivering food to PoK. Pakistani government has stopped the supply of food in PoK for the last 3 weeks.
Due to severe food shortage in PoK, the people there have asked for help from India. Sardar Aman Khan, hinting at reunification with India, asked the people of PoK whether they should move towards the LoC, then 80 thousand people sitting at the Idgah ground of Rawalakot answered yes several times.
Aman Khan warned the Pakistani government that if the people of PoK get bullets in exchange for their demands, then the people of PoK have many options. On Saturday, the Pakistani Army once again opened fire on the protesters during Fajr prayers and tried to end the protest.
Pakistani Rangers opened fire
In the pictures from Idgah ground of Rawalakot, it is clearly visible how Pakistani Rangers and PoK police are firing on the protesters at 4.30 in the morning. This firing was done yesterday, a day before the demonstration to mark the completion of one month of the firing by the Pakistani government in PoK.
Let us tell you that 11 people have been injured in this firing, however, even after the firing, Idgah ground of Rawalakot is still packed for the 26th day, people are raising slogans and playing tabla and warning the Pakistani government before the demonstration to be held in the entire PoK tomorrow.
Khwaja Mehran’s appeal
Khawaja Mehran, one of the main organizers of the protest, appealed to the people of PoK living abroad to come out tomorrow in their support against the repression by the Pakistani army. Despite the pictures and videos of the firing, the PoK Police issued a statement claiming that they did not fire today. PoK Police says that the firing is being claimed to spoil the atmosphere in PoK. Women demonstrated and took out a rally in PoK today against the arrest of Shaukat Nawaz Mir.
