NEET UG Counseling 2026: After the release of NEET UG 2026 result, now the eyes of lakhs of students are fixed on the counseling schedule released by the Medical Council Committee MCC. The counseling process for admission in various medical courses including MBBS, BDS, B.Sc Nursing is expected to start soon. As soon as the schedule is released, candidates will have to register online, after which the process of seat allotment and admission will proceed.
Let us tell you that this year, according to the seat matrix of the National Medical Commission, admission will be given on a total of 1,36,939 MBBS seats across the country. Of these, more than 11.21 lakh candidates have been successful in NEET UG 2026 examination. In such a situation, due to limited seats, there can be huge competition for admission in medical college.
When can counseling start?
According to the report, the Medical Council Committee can start NEET UG counseling any time. However, MCC has not yet made any official announcement regarding this. But it is expected that after the release of NEET UG result on July 16, MCC can announce counseling any time. Through the counseling of MCC, apart from MBBS and BDS seats of 15 percent All India Quota, admission will be given on the seats of AIIMS, JIPMER, Kendriya Vidyalaya, Deemed University, ESIC Medical Colleges, AFMS Institute and B.Sc Nursing. The counseling authority of the respective states will complete the admission process for 85 percent state quota seats.
Online registration for counseling will be done like this
After the start of counselling, candidates will have to go to the official website of MCC and do a new registration. After this, you will have to login by filling the information related to NEET application. The application form can be submitted after depositing the prescribed registration fee. Candidates have been advised that after completion of the application, they can download the confirmation page and keep it safe for future.

There may be four rounds in counselling.
Considering the pattern of previous years, this time also counseling can be conducted in four phases. This will include Round-1, Round-2, Mop Up Round and Stray Vacancy Round. After seat allotment in each phase, the candidate will have to report to the prescribed medical college.
Keep these important documents ready in advance
During counselling, candidates will have to provide many important documents. These include NEET UG 2026 admit card, score card, 10th and 12th mark sheets and certificates, valid photo identity card, passport size photo, caste certificate, residence certificate, disabled certificate and provisional allotment letter received after seat allotment. Any deficiency in the documents may cause problems in the admission process.
