The 40.02 percent increase of Jharkhand Electricity Distribution Corporation Limited (JBVNL) was proposed, but the Commission approved an increase of 6.34 percent.

JSERC has ordered Jharkhand Electricity Distribution Corporation Limited that the amount of fixed charge should not be taken for the period in which consumers will not have electricity supply. Consumers will automatically get the benefit of adjustment through billing software.
