India striks in pakistan: Three people were killed in indiscriminate firing and shelling of the Pakistani Army along the Line of Control and International Border on the night of 6-7 May in Jammu and Kashmir. The Indian armed forces strictly retaliated two weeks after the Pahalgam terror attack and carried out missile attacks on nine terrorist bases in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir late on Tuesday night, including the strongholds of terrorist groups Lashkar-e-Taeba and Jaish-e-Mohammed. The Ministry of Defense said in a statement late at 1.44 pm that the military attacks were carried out under ‘Operation Sindoor’. It states that the action of the Indian armed forces was’ focused and napi-tuli.
Pakistan Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif’s statement
Pakistan Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif termed the Indian missile attacks as ‘war action’ and said that his country has every right to give a ‘appropriate answer’. The statement issued by India said, “Some time ago, the Indian Armed Forces started ‘Operation Sindoor’, attacking the terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir, from where terrorist attacks against India were managed and directed.” It said, ‘No Pakistani military establishment has been targeted. India has shown a lot of restraint in the way of selection and implementation of targets. Sources said that attacks on all nine locations were successful and Prime Minister Narendra Modi closely monitored ‘Operation Sindoor’.
Terrorist bases targeted
Officials said that the nine locations that were targeted include Jaish-e-Mohammed’s headquarters in Bahawalpur and Lashkar-e-Taiba in Muridke. Both of them are in Punjab, Pakistan. Located a short distance from Lahore, Muridke, a huge ‘Markaz’ i.e. Lashkar-e-Taiba (LET) is the main stronghold of Jaish-e-Mohammed. People familiar with the case said on the condition of anonymity that other targets – Kotli and Muzaffarabad are the areas of PoK where both Lashkar and Jaish have terrorist camps and training facilities for a long time.
