Operation Sindoor: The Indian Army has given a befitting reply to Pakistan exactly two weeks after the terrorist attack in Pahalgam on 22 April. Late on Wednesday, India has carried out a big air strike at 9 terrorist bases of Pakistan and PoK under ‘Operation Sindoor’.

Bahawalpur: The stronghold of Jaish-e-Mohammed
Bahawalpur in Punjab province of Pakistan is considered to be the headquarters of Jaish-e-Mohammed. This organization of Masood Azhar has been involved in attacks like 2001 Parliament attack and 2019 Pulwama Attack. This was the reason that Bahawalpur was first targeted in this operation.
Muridke: Lashkar-e-Taiba factory
Muridke, about 40 km from Lahore, has the main base and training center of Lashkar-e-Taiba. The terrorists of the 26/11 Mumbai attack of 2008 were given training here. This camp had complete arrangements for induction, training and logistics.
Kotli: Factory of suicidal attackers
The Kotli area of PoK has been a long time for India. Training of suicidal attackers and intruders has been imparted here. According to reports, more than 50 terrorist trainees are present here at a time.
Gulpur: Launch pad of Rajouri and Poonch attacks
Gulpur was used as a launch pad for attacks on the Indian Army in Rajouri and Poonch in 2023 and 2024. From here, terrorists joined the convoy and entered the Indian border.
Sawai and Sarjal-Burnala: Entry Points of Infiltration
Locations like Sawai, Sarjal and Bernala are known for infiltration of terrorists. From here, terrorists used to enter India through line of control and international border. This was the reason that they were also targeted in Operation Sindoor.
Sialkot’s Ghumuna: Hizbul’s old base
Mehmuna Camp is located near Sialkot and Hizbul is the old base of Mujahideen. Although the strength of this organization is no longer the same, but some active training and support networks still run from here.
