Doda Accident: On Tuesday (July 15) in Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir, 5 people died and 17 others were injured when a vehicle fell into a deep ditch. Officials said that the driver of the Tempo lost control of the vehicle at a turn of the Doda-Bhagha Marg near Ponda, causing this accident.
Officials said that the injured have been taken to the hospital. The condition of three of the injured is critical. Officials said, “Ujma Jaan, one of the seriously injured people, has been referred to Jammu.
The deceased have been identified as Mohammad Ashraf (35), Mangata Wani (51), Atta Mohammad (33), Talib Hussain (35) and Rafika Begum (60).
Local people help
Parvez, who was injured in the accident, told the news agency ANI that the car was completely full. Don’t know what happened to Tempo again. A loud voice came. We fainted after the accident. People brought us to the hospital.
As soon as the vehicle fell into the ditch, the local people ran towards the spot and later the police and other security agencies also reached there and did the relief work.
The Lt. Governor expressed grief
The Lt. Governor Manoj Sinha expressed grief over the accident in Doda. The Lieutenant Governor said, “I am saddened by the loss of life and property in the tragic road accident in Doda. My heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families in this hour of grief. I pray for the injured to get well soon.”
At the same time, Union Minister Jitendra Singh said that on receiving information about the accident, he spoke to Doda Deputy Commissioner Harvinder Singh.
