There is some movement in the politics of Maharashtra. Even today something similar happened when MNS chief Raj Thackeray reached Matoshree Niwas in Bandra, Mumbai to meet his cousin Uddhav Thackeray.
It was special because the opportunity was for Uddhav Thackeray’s birthday, and the discussion was hot in political corridors since morning. The special thing is that Raj Thackeray has reached Matoshree after about 13 years. Earlier, he went there for the last time in 2012.

Raj Thackeray was separated from Shiv Sena in 2006
Please tell that Raj Thackeray separated from Shiv Sena in 2006 and formed Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS). After this, political and personal differences between the two brothers were openly revealed. But some recent developments have started reducing these distances.
In the past, the two leaders appeared on the same platform against the Maharashtra government against class 5 and the slogan of Marathi Asmita. On July 5, 2025, Raj and Uddhav Thackeray appeared together at the “Vijay Rally” held at NSCI Dome in Worli, which created a stir in political equations. In this rally, the two leaders showed solidarity about Marathi Asmita and highlighted the priority of Maharashtra in speeches.
Uddhav-Raj pair again together?
After coming together on this platform, today’s meeting has further emphasized the speculation that in the upcoming BMC elections, the two brothers can enter the electoral fray together. Let me tell you that Uddhav Thackeray had said in the rally, “Grain -based panchayats have bridged the gap between us, we have come together to live together,” Raj Thackeray added, “Maharashtra is bigger than any quarrel or controversy.”
Will you contest elections together in future?
The answer to this question may be clear in the coming weeks, but today’s meeting has made it clear that the snow of relationships in the Thackeray family is melting. We can expect that this change in political equations can change the picture of power in Maharashtra to a great extent.
