Foreign box office ‘L2: Ampran ‘ Break all the records of earning
L2: In its first two days, Emapran became the fastest Malayalam film to cross the Rs 100 crore mark at the box office around the world. With the first day collection of Rs 67 crore around the world, Mohanlal-Starrer had already become the biggest Malayalam opener. At the same time, after three days, L2: Empuraan has become the largest Malayalam film at the foreign box office by earning Rs 85 crore outside India. The film has grossed around 140 crores worldwide in its first three days.
It has broken the previous record of Prithviraj-starrer the Got Life or Adujivatham, which earned Rs 73.50 crore at the foreign box office in 2024.

‘L2: Ampuran’ is the sequel to the 2019 blockbuster Lucifer. Lucifer earned a gross of Rs 125 crore six years ago. The story, screenplay and dialogue of ‘L2: Empran’ are written by Murali Gopi. In the end of ‘L2: Ampran’, the title of the third film of the franchise has also surfaced which is L3: The Beginning. Apart from Mohanlal and Prithviraj Sukumaran, the action thriller film has many artists including Manju Warrier, Abhimanyu Singh, Tovino Thomas, Indrajit Sukumaran, Andrea Tiwadar, Jerome Flyn, Eric Abouni, Sukant Goyal, Nikhat Khan, Kartikeya Dev, Fazil and Suraj Venjaramudu.
