Jagadguru Rambhadracharya, a noted Ramkatha reader and awarded Padma Vibhushan, has questioned the Uttar Pradesh government’s move to take control of Thakur Banke Bihari temple in Vrindavan on Tuesday. He said that if such a step cannot be taken against mosques and church, then this should not happen in the case of temples.
He made this comment in response to questions asked on the state government’s plan to establish a trust for the temple and develop Banke Bihari corridor. Rambhadracharya is currently in Vrindavan in Mathura. Where he has been reciting the Shrimad Bhagwat Katha in Tulsi Peeth Chhattisgarh Kunj for the last one week.
The narrator Rambhadracharya also lodged his protest even after the government was set up by the government and expressed displeasure, saying, “I do not understand that when the government cannot control a mosque or church, why does it want to grab its fund by taking the temple under its control.”
What is the whole matter?
Explain that the Uttar Pradesh government has described the need for better facilities for millions of devotees coming to the temple as the reason for establishing a trust and construction of the corridor through an ordinance. An ordinance in this regard also presented in the monsoon session of the assembly.
In this bill, the government has included many provisions on keeping the tradition of the temple safe, empowering management and modern facilities. All the work, including the management of the temple, will do an 18 -member trust. According to the bill, the trust will have independent rights for transactions up to 20 lakhs.
If you have to do more than 20 lakh transactions, then it will be mandatory for the government to get permission. The trust will have the right to the offerings, donations and all movable immovable properties of Banke Bihari temple. The government has also made it clear that no intervention will be done in the religious and cultural traditions of the temple.
