After all, what is the history of the bra and where did its full form come from? Actually the word Bra is derived from the French language. Its ancestral word is Brassiere Brazier.

The word was first used in 1893 in the New York Evening Herald newspaper in America. However, it did not become very popular then.

Over time, in 1904, a US company Debevoise started using the word in advertisement. Gradually, it started getting recognition and in 1907, when the advertisement of the word Brezier was printed in Vogue magazine, this name suddenly became famous in the world.

After this, in 1911, the word bra was officially included in the Oxford English Dictionary. Brazier in French means an underarit or child’s undershert.

At the same time, in today’s time, it was reduced to be called bra only. In the Internet and Popular Culture, people started telling Bra in a funny way of breast resting area, but real roots are in the word Brezier.

It took a long time for the bra to arrive in India. After about 50 years, it reached India and gradually became an important part of women’s lives.

Initially people used to hesitate to talk openly on it, but today it is a daily need of every woman.
