Due to continuous rains in Jammu and Kashmir, there was a landslide on Tuesday afternoon on the way to Mata Vaishno Devi temple located on Trikuta hills of Reasi district, which killed at least five people and 14 others were injured. The officers provided this information.

Officials said that rescue operations are going on near Indraprastha restaurant in Ardhkunwari, where landslides occurred at around 3 pm. He said that this incident happened on about half the path of the 12 -km winding road leading to the temple located on the hill.
He told that there are two ways to reach the building. Out of these, the journey on the Himkoti road was adjourned in the morning, but till 1.30 pm the journey was going on on the old route. However, in view of torrential rains, it was decided to postpone the yatra from this route till further orders.
