Indian cricketer R Ashwin has also retired from IPL. Announcing this, he shared a post, which wrote, “Today my IPL career is also ending.” Ashwin played a total of 221 matches in a 16 -year IPL career. He represented 5 teams in the Indian Premier League. Please tell that he has retired from international cricket in December 2024.
R Ashwin made his IPL debut for Chennai Super Kings in 2009. He then played for Rising Pune Supergiants, Punjab Kings, Delhi Capitals and then Rajasthan Royals. He returned to the last season (IPL 2025) in Chennai Super Kings, after playing, he retired from cricket today.

Announcing retirement from the IPL, Ashwin wrote on social media, “A special day and a special beginning. Every end has a new beginning, my time as an IPL cricketer is ending today, but my time as an explorer of sports in various leagues is starting today.”
Ashwin also thanked all his leagues in his post, for whom he played in the IPL. He wrote, “I would like to thank all the franchisees for the brilliant memories and relationships of so many years. And thank you very much for what I have given to BCCI and IPL so far. I am eager to enjoy and take full advantage of what is next.”
