There is increasing resentment among the youth and people associated with the Gen Z movement against Prime Minister Sushila Karki. There was also an uproar outside the Prime Minister’s residence Baluwatar on the night of Sunday (14 September). The relatives of the deceased and several Gen Z groups shouted slogans against the government and even demanded PM’s resignation. Amidst this protest, the cabinet expansion is to be done today, but only three ministers will be sworn in.
Why protesters raging on Omprakash Aryal?
According to sources, Omprakash Aryal may get the responsibility of the Ministry of Home and Justice, former Finance Secretary Rameshwar Khanal and the Ministry of Energy to the Ministry of Finance. However, the protesters allege that Omprakash Aral, who is being made the Home Minister, was earlier talking to the agitators, but later he himself bargained and took the post of minister. For this reason, they also opposed outside the PM residence.
