Two women Naxalites have been killed in an encounter between police commandos and Naxalites in Gadchiroli, Maharashtra. Also, several weapons including AK 47 have been recovered from the spot.

According to the information, the Gadchiroli police have killed two women Maoists in a fierce encounter in Jambia forest of Etapalli taluka. Based on intelligence information, the C-60 teams and the 191st battalion of CRPF laid siege to the area and recovered an AK-47, a pistol, ammunition and a large amount of Maoist literature.

This action was taken against Maoist activities in the area as part of the ongoing campaign under the leadership of Additional Superintendent of Police Satya Sai Karthik. It is being seen as a big success.
